But mom, I was going to bed....

Austin, Austin, Austin.... He was supposed to be going to sleep, but was up to no good. We did find out that it is ok if your kids eat Desitin. No need to rush to the emergency room. I think Austin may be an artist some day because he is continually painting his body with either desitin or markers or pen. Kids really are great entertainment!

Fun in Utah!

Well I finally found my charger for my camera so I could take some pictures again. We took a little vacation last week and went to Utah. We stayed at our friend Ryan's house in Herriman, thanks, Ryan. I was able to see Jaime who also lives in Herriman, we met up at the spray park near her house and the kids all played in the water. They had a lot of fun. The adults watched them have fun of course, for some reason, kids do not feel cold, they just have fun. We enjoyed the time we had to just do what ever we wanted to. That does not happen too often. We went to an IKEA store for the first time, that was a big store! I would have liked to stay longer but the kids were restless. We also went to the Joseph Smith movie on Temple Square, that is a very touching show. I can't get through it without the tears. It just makes you so grateful for your blessings and appreciative of the sacrifices made for us. The kids even enjoyed it, I think they really learned a lot from it. We went shopping in Park City and then on Saturday we went to Lagoon. Before we got to Lagoon we spent and hour and a half sitting on the freeway stuck behind a horrible accident. They finally had everyone backup and drive back down the freeway to the previous off ramp to get us out of there. I am pretty sure that is the only time we will ever drive southbound on the northbound I-15. The kids absolutely loved Lagoon. Matt and Andrew have not stopped talking about going on "Wicked" since one of their friends told them about it last fall. Of course we had to go straight to that ride, and of course they loved it! Austin and Greg went to Lagoona Beach and played in the kiddy pool for about an hour until Austin realized that it was freezing cold and decided to get out. He shivered for about an hour until we could get him warm again. We all had a really good time together, just relaxing and having fun.

Austin's Big Boy Bed

We finally got Austin moved into his toddler bed and he was very excited about this. It had become a necessity because he was climbing out of his crib every time we put him into it. We were afraid he was going to hurt himself if we didn't. Austin is our little climber and adventurer. He was climbing on top of the kitchen table before he turned one year old.

Christmas 2008

For Christmas this year we went to Park City, Utah to be with Greg's family. We had a great time there with Mike, Robin & Weston, Bob, and Grandma Hobbs. We all went skiing at Deer Valley and enjoyed the wonderful fluffy powder. Matt and Andrew took some ski lessons and really improved this year. We took Grandma Hobbs to temple square to see the lights and boy were they beautiful. We were thrilled to have Mike, Robin, and Weston come to our house after Christmas and hang out with us. We really miss having them close by. Matt, Andrew, and Austin loved playing with Weston. Austin kept asking where Weston and George were after they left. For all of you do not know Weston, he carries his best friend Curious George around wherever he goes. We had a ton of snow fall the week of Christmas and when we came home from Utah we were greeted by 3 feet of snow in the driveway. It took three people and an hour and a half to shovel it out so we could pull in.
